Notice: Due to an unforeseen event, we will not be selling plants at the Master Gardeners sale on May 20,2017.
We will open our retail area for some limited hours Memorial Day Weekend to sell those plants intnded for the Master Gardener sale. We will post hours here in a few days.
Our focus this year is on native plants as well as offering some rock garden/alpine favorites.
The Rock Garden is a perennial nursery offering rock garden and alpine plants as well as a selection of hardy perennials, including natives, suitable for perennial beds or borders or meadow.
We also sell hypertufatroughs so that you may create your own miniature alpine garden. Choose a dwarf conifer and some alpine plants to plant your trough. If you like, we will plant it for you. We also sell DownUnder Pots and stands.
Visit the Penn State Arboretum for inspiration, then come see us for plants and shrubs!
The Rock Garden is located at 176 Brush Valley Road in Oak Hall, Pennsylvania, a small village just east of State College, home to Penn State University. We are at the base of Mt Nittany about one half mile from the 322 bypass.
